Leonardo
Laurini, was born in Prato in 1970, he took his diploma as pianist in 1994
at the Conservatory "Luigi Cherubini" in Florence under the guidance
of lady professor Lucia Passaglia.
In
addition to his activity as solo pianist, he practices as chamber pianist, a
piano teacher, a composer of orginal music (for piano, choir) and
choirmaster.
He
has performed many concerts in various Italian cities and towns, including
Florence, Prato, Empoli, Siena, Arezzo, Città del Vasto, Macerata, Perugia,
Venice.
He
specialized with the following pianists: Maurizio Pollini at the Accademia
Musicale Chigiana, with Paul Badura-Skoda, Aldo Ciccolini and Bruno Canino at
Association "Amici della Musica" in Florence, by whom he has always
received praises and appreciations.
He
studied hapsicord and organistic interpretation with Edward Bellotti, piano
didactic with Francoise Joubert and Tatiana Levitina, choir leading with Fabio
Lombardo, Gary Graden and André Thomas, Musical Analysis with Romano Pezzati
and vocal Technique with Nino Tagliareni.
Since
1997 he he has been teaching principal piano at the School of Music of
Calenzano (near Florence).
He
has been leading since July 2000 the
polyphonic choir of the society Choral “Giuseppe Verdi” of Prato.
